Scenario 2: Lens Distortion Solved, But Not Yet Applied

A screenshot of a computer AI-generated content may be incorrect.

What it means:

Lens distortion was solved and appears in the Lens panel.

The Lens Workflow has not been run.

The Image Preprocessor does not contain distortion correction.

The project still works with distorted imagery.

Export options:

None : Exports data with original distortion.

Undistorted (1) : Temporarily undistorts and crops the image to original frame size. This may trim off distorted edges, potentially cutting off important elements near the borders.

Redistorted (2) : Undistorts the image into a larger overscan frame (preserving all image content), and applies the original distortion to CG in post. Suitable for pipelines where distortion must be restored before final delivery.

Tip: In pipelines like Blender-to-Nuke, Redistorted (2) is often preferred. It ensures CG aligns with the original plate, avoids edge cropping, and allows distortion to be re-applied cleanly using exported ST-maps or distortion nodes.
